Drawing & Sketching Class - Oct 30/06
Hi, everyone. Welcome to my Blog. We have started lessons with Cathy Johnson and this is my first effort using a charcoal pencil and watercolor crayons. This little fellow was on the back page of the Birds and Blooms magazine Oct 06. I didn't get his face right, so I will have to draw him again.I did all of the exercises for Lesson One except using pen and ink, so they will be on my next shopping list when I go to the art store.
Lesson One has started me on the road to drawing - hope you will travel along with me.

I think you did a FANTASTIC job with this squirrel -- they are so cute and feisty and you've really captured him!
I like my derwent inktense w/c pencils too! I don't know if I like them to do a whole painting, but sure are nice for small areas.
