Deep in thought - Lesson 2

I mixed Burnt Umber and Burnt Sienna, both permanent, directly on the paper and when it dried, lifted the paint. In lifting the paint, I followed the Burnt Sienna swirls and low and behold - this image came to life. I called this painting 'Deep in thought'.

Lesson 2

This little Pacific Tree Frog looked like he belonged on a lily pad. I used Cerulean Blue Hue and Lemon Yellow which are both permanent. The lily pad had many glazes which left a nice color when I lifted the paint.
