Lesson 6

This is my painting for Lesson 6. I had a lot of fun with the trees. They looked like birch to me so I had masked off the tree trunks before I did anything and I then just left the paper white and put softened touches of black for the texture of the trunks.

This is the last of our lessons and I am so sad. It has been a great learning experience and I hope Kate will have more watercolor lessons for us in the future. I have joined her sketching and drawing group and these lessons will probably be in the fall or winter. I love to paint and draw! 

Lesson 6 - Photo of my painting

On our first trip to Alaska we did not have a holiday trailer so one night we stayed in this cabin in the woods. This is the photo that I used to complete my painting for Lesson 6.
