Lesson Three Final Effort

This is a sketch of a ceramic ornament that is a shelf sitter. First of all I blocked in the figure. After I had drawn the little angel, I used hatching and cross-hatching to shade. I used both my pencil and a ruler to help find the proportions. Lesson Three was awesome and I can't wait to get Lesson Four. 

Gesture Spirals

Exercise 9 and 10 were great fun. This is my gesture spirals sketch of my little dog, Molly. 

Chiaroscuro

I hope this looks like the horse it is supposed to be. I found this quite challenging as have never used two values to draw something. Quite like chiaroscuro though and will certainly try it again. 

Lesson Three

This is my first attempt at cross-hatching. Wasn't sure if this gave the illusion of anything - let alone roundness so will try again.
